Pure Ashtadhatu Ganesha

Ganesha holds a goad in his upper right hand, which aids him in propelling mankind onward on the endless road and removing obstacles. Ganesha’s left-hand noose is a benign tool for capturing all obstacles. Ganesha’s broken tusk, which he holds in his lower right hand like a pen, is a sign of sacrifice, which he broke while writing the Mahabharata.

The rosary in his other hand symbolises that knowledge should be pursued indefinitely. The laddoo (honey) he carries in his trunk denotes the need to seek the Atman’s deliciousness. He is the Lord of Success and the Remover of Obstacles and Evils.
